After a 5-month delay to its intended resumption date the Chinese Super League season started last weekend with these two sides having somewhat contrasting starts to their respective seasons.

Evergrande comfortably won 2-0 against Shanghai Shenua whilst their local rivals were particularly poor, losing 3-0 to Shenzhen. Defensive errors proved costly as they conceded 2 penalties in a disastrous second half following a first half own goal. This atrocious backline display is unlikely to be resolved for tomorrow's game and I except them to concede at least a couple of goals against an Evergrande side boasting a decent strike force with the 2 wide men particularly impressive at the weekend, the tricky Shihao Wei winning the plaudits thanks to his match deciding brace. It also seems likely that Anderson Talisca could play a bigger part for Evergrande tomorrow than he did at the weekend. He only made a substitute appearance as he was their last foreign player to return to China for the start of the season and having really hit form at the end of last season, he'll be itching to get back in the starting eleven (4/6 anytime scorer or Bet365 hardly worth taking).

From a betting standpoint, with best odds on an Evergrande win currently sitting at a pathetic 3/8 with Betway we have to look elsewhere for any sort of value. Goals are certainly to be expected; despite their obvious defensive frailties Guangzhou R&F had their chances at the weekend, and with Eran Zahavi leading the line they always have a goal in them. The Israeli's 87 goals in 99 appearances speak for themselves and it has to be said that he does love playing against his side's local rivals, having found the net 13 times in just 11 meetings between the two sides. With 13/8 available as an anytime scorer at Betfair I would be tempted. It's hard to judge just how big a gulf there is between the two sides at this point in the season but if they can create their danger man a couple of decent openings i'd expect to see him take one. Going off the back of this take is where I think we can find a solid close to even money wager.

I do fancy Evergrande to comfortably win this game but I think it might be a little tighter than the line suggests so the 6/4 available for Evergrande to win and both teams to score is the standout bet here.

Bets for the game:

Both Team To Score & Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.83 Stake 1u

Both team to score / Result Evergrande @ 2.37 Stake 1u

Eran Zahavi to score anytime @ 1.95 Stake 1u
